When the [[brown tide]] spread throughout the worldwide ocean at the end of the [[Blue Age]], the Halflings channeled the sun's energy into their [[Pristine Tower]] and pushed it back. They also dried part of the world, creating dry land where many different creatures arose and thick forests grew. The civilization of the Halflings failed but the world as a whole was reborn and new energies, including [[psionics]], came into being.
